about

Tunnel Visions are Wil Fady and Michael Floering. They are best friends and they met in Tampa in 2009. They worked on this album for two years and some months in Florida and Massachusetts.

Tunnel Visions are from the hologram of paradise ‘Florida,’ where everything is from somewhere else. Florida is a landscape of placelessness, fantasy, and invasive species. These songs rattle and chant there.

Track Name: Monera
IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER:

as you were reaching home –
the things of autumn at your heels

– who slide across the stoop –
– conspire to overtake you –
– the spears of yesterday –

– syrup from the trunks stick
your soles onto the floor
– so you slip between the floorboards
as you’ve been wont to do
– thinly slipping through –

– the crackling carbon follows as I slide
into the vault beneath the soil

– coiled inside the opening, the
snake of time is whistling
tomorrow’s textiles to me

– she spins me up a maze of leaves
(sewn with mossy turret walls
and yellow rings and zigzags
and so on)

I listen to her trumpeting
Track Name: Crystalis
draw me out
into your shoreline skull
take my orbit
inside your purple bones
Track Name: Signals
along thickly settled roads
after consequence
as a consequence I'm seeking
something after meaning

an ardent rose or two or three
an open palm with lines

I'm standing on the wire
I'm standing on the wire
(the signal isn't reading)
I'm standing on the wire
(the signal isn't reading)

((the signal isn't reading))

across the lengthy purple passage
the logic is receding
from the taste of reason's greetings
